Letter to patients from Dr. Morrison dated January 2019:
Greetings from Morrison Eye Clinic during this Christmas and New Year season.
I hope that you are looking forward to beginning a fresh New Year.
Dr. Moses and I have been talking for several years about the future of this practice and the time of transition for me. The practice has grown significantly and the schedule has been full. We need more doctor coverage to accommodate the demand for appointments. In the careful search this year for the right doctor to be added to the practice, Dr. Moses discovered Dr. Shannon Osborne, who has been practicing for the last seven years in Florida. Dr. Osborne has accepted the call to join the practice full time beginning January 1, 2019.
We are excited for the skills Dr. Osborne brings. She has practiced in a large eye clinic for 7 years where she provided a broad range of eye care services including primary eye care, diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders, and pre-operative work up and postoperative follow up care related to cataract and
LASIK surgery. Dr. Osborne graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago and earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, where she was on the Dean’s list for clinical and academic achievement.
The other significant news is that Dr. Moses has purchased Morrison Eye Clinic after practicing here since 2009. Dr. Moses and Dr. Osborne will continue to provide excellent eye care for you and your family. They will be adding some new touches to the clinic over the next months. So, stay tuned! Fresh ideas, new energies, and great eye care!
After beginning Morrison Eye Clinic on May 3, 1976 I have enjoyed the privilege of serving many patients for a long time and have had the joy of getting to know all of you and the generations of offspring that have followed. I am going to greatly miss the interaction with you, but it is time for me to make a transition and spend more time with my wife, 5 children, and 9 grandchildren. I will finish my time at the clinic in mid-January, 2019 and retire.
Thank you all for the years of interaction we have had together and the privilege to have spent time with you. I will miss you. My wife, Lynn, and I have moved to a different house, but will continue to live in the area. We are happy mid-westerners. Have a wonderful new year!
Best regards,
J. Kenneth Morrison, OD
